newport

newport beach wasn't on the agenda for spring break, but luckily it made the agenda last minute. newport is one of my absolute favorite vacation spots. i love sitting on the beach where i made so many memories growing up, spending time with my family, and eating way too many donuts and french fries (you can never have too much of either.)

the best company ^

ken and i had been hinting at our parents for days about our desire to go to newport over spring break...i'm so our parents caved in and made it a family trip!

ok you guys, if you're a newport fan or even if you arent, jane's corndogs is a MUST. it's right by all the cute shops once you hit the pier!

brought to you by my very nutritional lunch...i promise i don't always eat like that ^

miss maggie moo found a few treasures

here's a little story for ya...carter and i never got along before his mission. he was that annoying, overbearing brother that you always hear about. my mom always told us that we were going to get along someday because he's going to want to date all my girlfriends and i was going to be hanging out with his friends. we are now best friends who tell each other everything and he may take a few friends of mine out on dates here and there. i'm not complaining. it was nice to have our first beach trip since he's been home. thanks mom for the advice.

isn't my dad adorable? he had just been in the dentist office getting a root canal the same day we left for the beach. he's a trooper...who hates the dentist.

our second day in california we decided we would switch things up and go to huntington beach. right next to where we were sitting, a hindu color festival was going on. i was really intrigued and wanted a picture with them...i asked them and they immediately threw color all over me. it's chill.

i love how excited the littles get about the ocean and all things beach

this was the first time i had ever had a bonfire on the beach. i loved sitting around with my family roasting marshmallows and seeing who can burn their leg hair the fastest?!? hahaha

have you heard of philippe's? they have the most delicious french dip sandwiches EVER. and to top it off, the whole restaurant is spacious, old, and makes me feel like i'm living in the 50's.

how cute is that yellow VW?!

I love the sand, i love the ocean, i love being a beach bum, i love all the food and sugar consumed, and i love all the memories made at the beach. spring break 2016 was one for the books.
